Seedlings

Some of the seeds that were planted about a week and a half ago already needed to be transplanted into the larger 4 inch pots. Chris and the Johnson Family met up at Kevin's and got to work. Cucumbers, zucchini and other varieties of squash were all done today. The tomatoes and peppers, although growing, aren't ready to transplant yet.

Needing to be transferred.

Oliver loosening up the soil mix.

Lots of help.

Moving into their new homes.

Noah giving them a quick drink.
Those are the tomatoes on the top rack.

Next stop, the garden!

I would like to recommend watermelon or cantaloupe. I know it sounds unusual for this area, but John actually had really good luck with it at HP. It's a lot of fun for the kids to watch. It takes up a lot of space, but you can grow it around other tall growing plants (ie: beans). And there is nothing better than fresh watermelon!!!
